I'm a retired military officer with 36 years of service. I flew helicopters and was assigned to command and staff positions. I had a very rewarding career. I retired and spent a year and a half personally building a log home, where I now reside. My home is on the back side of Pikes Peak and the view is spectacular. I did go back to work as I got restless. I currently work for a small manufacturing firm in Colorado Springs as Director of Quality and Service. I work four days a week, so I have long weekends to play. I have three children and four grandchildren who are now the center of my world. I feel I am a warm, sensitive, loving, kind and passionate individual. I am a 100 percent guy who is loyal and can be counted on completely. I consider myself a true gentleman. I really love running my businesses and learning as much as I can about things that interest me (history, locations I have never been to, new cuisine, new activities). I am not married to my businesses, but I get a thrill from running them and I am learning a new aspect of the business world every day. I never want to reach a point where I stop learning; there is too much out there to ever know it all! I like the saying (I am loaded with them), "Great minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, small minds discuss people". If you were to put a political/social label on me (which I don't care for), I would most closely resemble a Libertarian ("Do whatever you want to do, but don't prevent me from doing what I want to do" or "A Republican that has a lot more fun") which has made me tired of dating liberal-minded people (I have no problem with Liberals, but I think it's time I pursued relationships with the other side - i.e. Conservatives, Republicans).

After having this profile for some time, perhaps it is time I actually placed some information in it. Now, the question is what? Following the typical rules of political views, I started off as an anarchist in college, casting my first Presidential vote for Ross Perot. Why? Because I felt he would be the best one for stirring up trouble in DC! Since then, as I have learned, I now am a conservative first, and a Republican second. It means I prefer to think for myself, and follow personal prinicpals, rather than tow party lines.

Politically I am pretty far right. This could be a deal killer but I am not religious right. I definitely believe in the separation of church and state. I'm a very strong believer in a powerful military. We can never let another 9-11 happen in the United States. Our imigration policies need to be totally overhauled and tightened and employers need to be held accountable for who they hire. Enough of that for now.I live in the mountains just outside of Denver. My home is comfortable and I do have indoor plumbing. I work for a healthcare corporation in Denver. Not sure I will ever retire completely. I might look for something else to do that would be a lot more fun. Maybe open a tiki bar on a beach in the Caribbean. (:Write to me and ask anything you like. I have nothing to hide. Oh, I have 2 large dogs so you must be an animal lover. Family, friends and holidays are very special to me.

Hi there...I get outdoors as often as possible. To me its about fun and enjoyment - not the first one to the finish line. My goal is to live a life worth living. Even better with a special girl at my side to share it with. Its fun to play. Even better, when the work is done.

Speaking of...I can handle kids. I have 10 neices & nephews. I even babysit. (gasp!) I also volunteered at Childrens Hospital. Adults can learn a lot from kids. They simply tell it like it is. And they have no parameters on their creative angle.

I enjoy meeting new people and have a natural curiosity about human nature. If we meet up and sparks fly, great. If not, I have room for good people in my life.
