I know what you're thinking... How can he be over 40 and never married? Believe me I didn't plan it this way. I have always been a little shy when it comes to dating. However, I have been in relationships and I am still seeking to meet the right one. My friends would describe me as someone who is loyal and honest. A good cook and handy as hell... God is first and foremost in my life. I love Him above all else and live to serve His will. I love Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. I am thankful beyond words to God our Father for giving His only begotten Son that we who believe may have eternal life through Jesus Christ. I love to hunt deer, fish, and watch the Minnesota Vikings and Twins. I'm from the country and I love the country. I'm very conservative. I look at things as right and wrong, black and white. There are very few, if any, grey areas in life. I'm what most would probably call a right-wing extremist. I'm a happy and optimistic person. I thoroughly enjoy the simple things in life. Good cold beer at the end of a long day, for example. I like to exercise and stay in shape. Beyond generally enjoying exercise, I have to do so to maintain myself as a soldier in the Army National Guard. I'm also a registered nurse. Money is important to me to the point of being able to support a family. I don't care to live paycheck to paycheck, but I don't see that being a problem either. I can be assertive if I need to be. I love sarcastic humor. I try to be as courtious as possible as much as possible. All in all, I'm a pretty laid back type of guy. :)

I am a single Mom with 2 boys. I own my own home. I work fulltime as a medical coder and attend Weekend college classes, working on my bachelor's. I am a news junkie, a music junkie and a comedy junkie. Once faced with an Obama, I left the democratic party for good. I saw him for what he was. No hope and change cult of idiocy for me. Always have considered myself a moderate (or Clinton) democrat, but now consider myself a conservative. I'm passionate about everything I am involved in. I believe that humanity has advanced (when it has advanced) not because it has been sober, responsible, and cautious, but because it has been playful, rebellious, and immature. I am iconoclastic, behind the 8 ball but ahead of the curve, riding the wave but dodgin' the bullet, pushing the envelope, in the moment, irreverent, on the edge, but under the radar. Conan O'Brien is NOT funny; imbecilic. Would rather watch two men ice fish than watch TV. I don't run unless the cops or mad dogs are chasing me but I do play racquetball 4-5 times each week. I believe that if anything is worth doing, it would have been done already. Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away, and you have their shoes, too. I disdain outlet malls, plastic plants/people. I ride a Schwinn, drive an old Mercedes, no Harley for me. I miss Johnny Carson, John Candy, M*A*S*H and Tim Russert. I will never put off until tomorrow what I can forget about forever. A true millenium man - politically, anatomically and ecologically correct. I pilot bicycles up severe inclines with unflagging speed, and I cook 30-Minute Brownies in 20 minutes but I refuse to do the Chicken dance.

When we grow up we dream of what we want to be... Well, that turned out quite nicely as I look back. A farmboy, sailor, college student, cowboy, farm manager, banker, husband, father, now known as Poppa to five grandkids, and a fair golfer. (Well maybe just a so so golfer.) Mom and I had a very good life until "the angels not half so happy in heaven took her way from me." (Yes, I do like to read E.A.Poe from time to time.) I've been known to write a poem or two when the mood is right. I use to paint until I found out It was about as good as my golf game. I may take it up again when the night get long and its to cold up here to get outside and care for my lawn. I am fairly handy with a hammer and saw and at one time thought I would like to build a house. (not hire a house constructed but do all the physical work myself.) That dream may have passed me by, but I still can dream as you may know. Though, can't say the dream of being a cowboy was like we saw in the movies back in the 1940's, but who knows, a cowboy might get lucky after all these years.

My buddies have almost convinced me I'd be a really good catch, but of course these are the same bunch that keeps telling me I don't look a day over 80.
